My name is Matt, and I am the owner and founder of this website.
I have been printing canvas images since 2009, and I enjoy creating beautiful, high-quality canvas prints that will last a lifetime.
In late 2022, my previous employer had sold their business and the new owners were not going to continue with any photo related services. I can understand as mobile phones and social media have depleted the need for anyone to print their memories.
That being said, I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the Epson Stylus Pro 7880 that was in the store. This printer (I’m guessing is at least 15 years old) still works like a charm. And the funny thing is, I noticed all the newer replacement models always seem to be out of stock.
Prior to AI art revolution, I always played around with images to create something different for the canvas. I liked to experiment with random software like ACDSee, Pixlr, Picsart, Canva or even just buy Photoshop effects from Graphic River.
As my children are getting older and doing their own things in life, I think it’s time to change the wall décor into something else. It’s like looking at an old passport photo – nobody looks like that anymore, so why is it up on the wall?
When I started to see videos on AI art (like Midjourney) and what it can do, I instantly wanted to learn about it and see what it can look like once it’s printed. .
So that’s the purpose of the blog – trying new ideas regarding printing onto canvas and stretching them onto frames in a DIY manner.
One last thing, I don’t claim to be the top tier in knowledge for photo printing / canvas stretching. You may have suggestions that I could use and I’m more than happy to try new things. My writing style is exactly the way I speak- full of errors!
